Edith Mae (Weeks) Rentz Edith Mae (Weeks) Rentz, 86, formerly of Moultrie, GA passed away August 22, 2015 at her daughter's residence at 35 Brookfield Dr., Valdosta, GA 31602. She was born on March 24, 1929, in Cook County, GA. She was a loving and devoted foster parent for twenty plus years in Colquitt County. Survivors include three daughters and two son-in-laws: Barbara Myers of Valdosta, Linda and Billy Bates of Brooks County, and Brandi and James Richter of Moultrie; six grandchildren and their spouses: Tina Holt, Cynthia Whitmer (Paul, Sr.), Christine Rumph (Kevin, Sr.), Vannessa Dean, Mindy Sparrow, and Kamden Richter; fourteen great grandchildren, ten great-great grand children, and several former foster children; one sister Flora Bell Webb. She was preceded in death by her late husband Virgil Rentz, her parents Ruby Lee and John Weeks, her sister Clemer Lee Weeks, her brother John Alvin Weeks, and her son-in-law Norman Myers. Visitation will be held at her daughter's residence (35 Brookfield Dr Valdosta, GA) on Sunday, August 23, 2015, from 1:00 pm until. A graveside service will be held at Indian Creek Church Cemetery (Old Adel Rd, Moultrie, GA) on Monday, August 24 at 1:30p.m. A viewing of the body will be held 30 minutes prior to graveside service (1:00p.m.). Mr. Jimmy Jones from Pruitt Health hospice will officiate the services. We would like to give a special thank you to Jo, Macy, and other Hospice care givers who provided excellent care to her. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Pruitt Cares Foundation at 407 Cowart Ave. Valdosta, GA 31602. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home, Moultrie.
