Edna Faye Baker Barber, 79, of Pavo, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Legacy Village.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Garden with Rev. Andy Cashwell officiating.
Born on October 9, 1941 in Colquitt Co., Ga., she was the daughter of late Benjamin Edward “B.E.” Baker and Dorothy Montgomery Baker. She was a sewing machine operator at Riverside Manufacturing and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She loved her family, and enjoyed bowling, fishing, flower gardening, crocheting, and was an outstanding cook.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Eula Mae McGee, JoAnn McBrayer, Lou Nightingale, and Gwen Thomas; and brothers, Benjamin Baker and Curtis Baker.
Mrs. Barber is survived by her husband, Andrew Dewey Barber, Jr. of Pavo; sons, Hans Tapley Barber and wife Natalie of Palmdale, California and Andrew Duane Barber and wife Teresa of Pavo; grandchildren, Jacob Barber and wife Gina, Luke Barber, Aaron Brewer, Amber Hymer and husband Kenny, and Lonnie Chaney and husband David; great grandchildren, Madison Kay Barber, Mason Hymer, Kaylan Hymer, Noelin Chaney, Zoey Chaney, and Emma Chaney; sister, Frances McBrayer of Lenox; brother, Roger Baker and wife Jeri of Gordon, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
