Elsie Lou Chapman Vickers MOULTRIE Elsie Lou Chapman Vickers, 93, died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Valdosta. Burial services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Deep Bottom Cemetery in Norman Park, with the Revs. Matt Marston and Jimmy Voyles officiating. Born Sept. 25, 1921, in Lake City, Fla., Mrs. Vickers was the daughter of the late George Washington Chapman and Wilma Warwick Chapman. Having moved to Norman Park at an early age, she was raised by her beloved Uncle Walter and Aunt Della Norman Chapman. She was a secretary for many years with McLean Engineering Co. as well as a homemaker. She was a devoted member and Sunday school teacher at Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vickers Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth Vickers Touchton and husband Roger of Valdosta and Victoria Vickers and husband Eric Graves of Melbourne, Fla., three grandsons, John Jason Vickers, Christopher Gareth Graves and John Bryer Touchton. Visitation will be held 2 p.m.-2:45 p.m. prior to burial at Baker Funeral Home. Donations may be made to favorite charity. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
