Ellie Jo Johnson, 82, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021, at her home.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Warren Gilpin officiating. Ricky Harper, Roy Harper, Edward Bragg, Ronnie Fields, and Dean Gunsolus will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born on March 7, 1939, in Omega, she was the daughter of the late George Vinson Fields and Doshie Elvira Lawson Fields. She was retired from Riverside Manufacturing and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Daniel Johnson; brothers, Glen Fields, Howard Fields, and Walter Fields; and sisters, Lorene Dixon, Marie Harper, and Geneva Kitchens.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her sons, Michael Daniel Johnson, George Steve Johnson, and Jody Len Johnson and wife Madeline Inez all of Moultrie; sister, Christine Hamm and husband Carl of Norman Park; sister-in-law, Edith Fields of Hahira; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
