Emerson Duane Wetherington

Emerson Duane Wetherington,87, of Lenox, died Monday, August 31, 2020 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at the family farm.
Born on March 3, 1933 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Charles Angus Wetherington and Addi Belle Rentz Wetherington. He was a farmer and was a member of Lake View Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandaughter, Lori Sha Wetherington, son; Duane Wetherington; brothers, E.J. Wetherington, and Ralph Wetherington; and a sister, Louise Roberts.
Mr. Wetherington is survived by his wife, Barbara Rose Swinson Wetherington of Lenox; son, Zack Wetherington and wife Jackie of Lenox; daughter, Jan Searle of Lawrenceville; daughter in law, Jeanine Wetherington of Lenox; grandchildren, Craig Lindsey and wife Christy of Cartersville, Heath Wetherington and wife Jennifer of Lenox, Britney Mobley and husband Jake of Moultrie, and Levi Wetherington of Athens; step-grandchildren, Stephanie McCranie and husband Daniel of Lenox, and Melody Parker and husband Shawn of Lenox; great-grandchildren, Jacey Wetherington, Libby Wetherington, Sadie Wetherington, Aubrey Wetherington, Katie Wetherington, Allie Mobley, Davis Mobley, and Jud Mobley; step great-grandchildren, Cole Parker, Paisley Parker, and Christian McCranie; sister in law, Kathryn Swinson Goode; extended families, Bryan and Beckie Haughton and Cindy Mercer Jones.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 4, 2020 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
