Emily Catherine Rogers Ray

Emily Catherine Rogers Ray, age 80, of Norman Park, Georgia passed away Monday, February 3, 2025, at HCA Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Stephan Massey officiating. The burial will be held 1:00 pm Monday, February 10, 2025 at Mount Gilead Church Cemetery in Ft. Gaines, Georgia.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.

She was born in Colquitt County on March 7, 1944, to the late Carroll H. Rogers and Annie Gladys Moulder Rogers. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Frank Ray, and brothers, James “Jimmy” Rogers, Jefferson Montgomery “Jeff” Rogers, John Hoyt “Johnny” Rogers and Clarence Rogers; sisters, Minnie Lee Newcomb, Vivian Dale Hall, and Jannie Dean Crowder.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecka Marie Ray Wills and husband Stanley of Manor, Georgia, Jenny Dawn Ray Fields and husband Jason of Jackson, Georgia, and Winnie Mae Ray Olson and husband Richard of Norman Park; grandchildren, Brandy Marie Stuart of Shellman, Georgia, Katherine Jolene Williams and husband Matthew of Chelsea, Alabama, Dagon Riley Olson, Jacob Lawrence Fields, Isabell Olson, and Sarah Rae Fields; great-grandchildren, Savannah Elizabeth Stuart, Allison Danielle, Ian Jacob Williams, and Gavin Rhys Williams; sister, Clara Faye Mann and husband Charles; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
