Erline Perkins Cannon, 89 passed away Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Henry officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Moultrie. Born Sept. 1, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Albert James Perkins and Mattie Sloan Perkins. She was a member of New Elm Baptist Church. She also worked for Consolidated Telephone Company and was co-owner of Cannon Motors along with her late husband. From 2004-2014, She was the Colquitt County Farm Bureau Women's Committee Chairman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clarence Cannon; son, Julian Bradley Cannon; brother, Billy Perkins; and her parents, Albert James Perkins and Mattie Sloan Perkins. Survivors include her sons, Craig Cannon and Debbie of Doerun and Scott Cannon of Moultrie; daughter, Brenda Strickland of Coolidge; grandchildren, Ricky Strickland, Cathy Arrington, Toni Roberts, Rob Cannon and wife Logan, Heather Richman and husband Andy and Austin Cannon and fiancee Glinda Giddens; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Katherine Szekelly of Maryland; and sister-in-law, Donis Hagin of Moultrie. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 from 10 am-11 am at Baker Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Georgia Sheriff's Youth Home, 5671 Boys Ranch Rd., Hahira,GA 31632.
