Ester Ruth May MOULTRIE Ester Ruth May, 85, of Moultrie, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Born March 14, 1928, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Stewart "Bud" Nelson May and Nellie Elizabeth Howze May. She was a seamstress at Doerun Sportswear and was of the Southern Primitive Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by sons, James Wayne and Jerry McDonald; a son-in-law, Milford Hurst; and five brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Darrell McDonald and wife Elizabeth of Picayune, Miss., and Daniel McDonald of Cairo, Ga.; a daughter, Myra Jean Hurst of Omega ; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
