Eva Hamm Jones, 99, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2016 at Legacy Village of Tifton. Funeral services will be held Saturday Sept. 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Leila Cemetery. Born Feb. 17, 1917, in Cook County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Berkett Hamm and Evelena Morris Hamm. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvis Alvin Jones; son, Charles B. Jones; daughter in law, Doris Jones; grandson, Alan Scott Jones Sr.; brothers, Dave Hamm, Thomas Hamm and Edgar Hamm; sisters, Izzie Mae Lott, Flossie Norman, Mary Horne, Florence Patterson and Clydie Weeks; and her parents, Charles Berkett Hamm and Evelena Morris Hamm. Survivors include her grandson, Alvin Clyde Jones and wife Amanda of Omega; great grandchildren; Alan Scott Jones Jr. of Atlanta, Blake Segers, Ashton Brightwell Segers and Gracie Segers; Great-great grandchildren, Drake Jones and Praylee Jones; brothers, Carl L. Hamm and wife Christine of Norman Park and Donald Hamm of Norman Park; sister, Myrtice Tapp of Tifton.
