Evelyn C. Boone, 78, of Omega, died Monday, February 24, 2020 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lennon Howell officiating. Interment will follow at Omega City Cemetery. Matt Harrell, Brett Carlton, Tim Harsey, David Bennett, Michael Brooks, and Lee Powell will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on November 11, 1941, in Adel, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Washington Carter and Mary Lucille Beverly Carter Sutton. She retired from Omega Farm Supply working for many years as a bookkeeper and was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis "Bill" Aldridge Boone; granddaughter, Ashley Bennett; brothers, Darrell Carter and Carl Carter; and sister, Nell Carter.
Mrs. Boone is survived by her daughters, Lisa Harrell and husband Craig of Colbert, GA, Sherry Robinson and husband Jeff of Omega, and Amy Carlton and husband Rusty of Hull, GA; grandchildren, Matt Harrell and wife Alysha, Wendy Harsey and husband Tim, Christy Carlton, Haley Robinson, and Brett Carlton and wife Annabelle; 10  great grandchildren; and sisters in law, Elizabeth Carter and Phyllis Carter, both of Adel; and grandson in law, David Bennett of Norman Park.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
