Frank Edward Gay Sr.

Frank Edward Gay, Sr., 68, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Rev. Klay Luke officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Born on October 13, 1954, in Moultrie, Georgia, Frank was the son of the late Robert B. Gay and Eula Lee Farr Gay. He retired from Haskell Construction Co., where he worked as a master carpenter. Mr. Gay enjoyed mechanic work. The family remembers him as a “fixer of everything!’. He loved fishing, Atlanta Braves, Georgia Bulldogs, and NASCAR. He was a family man who loved his children, but mostly, the love of his life, Patricia Yvonne Cooper Gay, who preceded him in death in February of 2022. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, Robert B. and Eula Lee Farr Gay, and his wife of 48 years, Patricia Yvonne Cooper Gay, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Otis “Bullet” Gay, Thomas “Big Buddy” Gay and James “Little Buddy” Gay; and sister, Vickie Williams.
He is survived by his loving children, Frank Edward “Eddie” Gay, Jr., and wife Addie of Moultrie, Brian Steven Gay and wife Nichole of Waycross, and Valarie Lynn Gay Farmer and husband Bobby of Ty Ty; grandchildren, Dylan Gay, Charlie Gay, Matthew Farmer, Natalie Farmer, Trinity Gay and Tauren Gay; sisters, Lavern Wilson of Chatsworth, Betty Baggett of Jacksonville and Vickie Gay of Moultrie; and his brother-in-law/ his favorite coffee drinking partner, Rusty Cooper.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6 pm until 8 pm.
The family will be gathering at the home of Eddie & Addie Gay, 385 East Gate Circle, Norman Park, GA.
