Franklin L. Parker, 80, of Moultrie, passed away, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Saturday, October 30, 2021.
Funeral services for Mr. Parker will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at New River Holiness Church in Lenox, Georgia, with Bro. Charles Connell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Born on February 11, 1941, in Nashville, Georgia; he was the son of the late Haywood Parker and Myrtle Lee Harrell Parker. He was a machinist at Moultrie Engine Rebuilders and later retired from Parker Auto Machine Shop, a veteran of the United States Airforce, and was of the Holiness faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Andrew Henderson.
Mr. Parker is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Dowling Parker of Moultrie; sons, Joey Parker, Keith Parker and wife Serena, all of Moultrie, Mark Parker and wife Amy of Adel, David Parker and Paula of Florida, and Daniel Parker and wife Hillary of Albany; daughters, Trina Williams of Moultrie, Lori Linnenkohl and husband Whit of Funston, and Kellie Henderson and husband Kelly of Newnan; grandchildren, Chasta Lagle, Josh and Alaina Parker, Connor Parker, Dawson Parker, Taylor Parker, Adam Parker, Ty Linnenkohl, Ansley Linnenkohl, William Henderson, Brock Henderson, Chanel Parker, Aspen Parker, and Mandy Jarvis and husband Bill; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Donnie Parker and wife Carol Jean of Blueridge, Larry Parker of Seattle, and Kenneth Parker and Barb of Cooperstown, NY; and sisters, Ava Lee Bush and husband Harry of Moultrie, and Fran Webber of Buford; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
