General Hart MOULTRIE General Hart, 97, of Moultrie, died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at his residence. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Clyde Billingsley and the Rev. Mark Stone officiating. Pallbearers will be Jody Hart, Martin Bius, Will Bius, Cotton Hart, Connor Hart, Kelly Hart, Drew Hart and Chris Hart. Mr. Hart was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Moultrie, Ga., son of James H. Hart and Maggie Folsom Hart. He was a retired farmer and a member of Berlin Baptist Church. "He loved his family dearly," family members recalled. "His favorite food was sweets. He was a hard working farmer and loved fishing on the Flats in Florida." In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dovieree Sapp Hart; six brothers, Albert Hart, John R. Hart, Fletcher Hart, Bruce Hart, Guy Hart and Onsley Hart; and three sisters, Annie Gay, Margaret Palmer, Maxine Hamm. Survivors include two sons, James W. Hart and wife Nina and Donald G. Hart and wife Dell, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Denise Bius & husband Martin of Bainbridge, Jody Hart & wife Laura of Moultrie, Chris Hart & wife Tracie of Adel and Kelly Hart & wife Summer of Moultrie; and great-grandchildren, Cotton Hart, Connor Hart, Drew Hart, Cannon Hart, Will Bius, Hannah Bius, Madilyn Avera and Lexie Pike. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, at the funeral home. The family may be contacted at 4858 Ga. Highway 133 S., the home of James and Nina Hart.
