Genora Faye Smith Giddens MOULTRIE Genora Faye Smith Giddens, 74, of Moultrie, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at her residence. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Rice, Josh Purvis and Elder Roger McDonald officiating. Burial will be at Baker-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Eric York, Ross York, Michael Senkbiel , Jackie Johnson, David Plymel and Al York. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Crumley, Carol Wilkes, Joe Dismuke, Buddy Hartsfield, Robert Lee Stephenson and Milton Mercer. Mrs. Giddens was born Dec. 8, 1938, in Moultrie to Howard Samuel Smith and Willie B. Hesters Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, James Winfred Giddens of Moultrie; daughters, Lynn Purvis & husband Steve of Moultrie and Pam York and husband Paul of Evans, Ga.; brothers, Dannis Smith of Norman Park and Benny Smith & wife Susan of Grovetown, Ga.; sisters, Clara Johnson & husband Medford of Albany and Mildred Young & husband Tracy of Moultrie; grandchildren, Josh Purvis & wife Stephanie of Moultrie and Erick York and Ross York of Evans; great-grandchildren, Cade Purvis and Nora Kate Purvis. Mrs. Giddens was preceded in death by three brothers, Grady Smith, J. W. Smith, Gilbert Smith; and two sisters, Ruby Williams, Effie Hodges.
