George Thomas Murphy MOULTRIE - George Thomas Murphy, 79, of Moultrie, died July 11, 2015, at his residence. No formal services have been planned. Born on May 2, 1936, in Brooks County, he was a son of the late Claude O. Murphy and the late Eva Mae Thornhill Murphy. He was a farmer, a retired mobile home production supervisor, and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Cecil Collins Murphy; one brother, Newton Elbert Murohy; and one sister, Eva Claudine Johnson. Survivors include his sisters, Karen Murphy, of Moultrie, Ga., Coleen May, of Moultrie, Ga., Katie Golden and husband, Bill, of Moultrie, Ga., Sylvia Spader, of Tifton, Ga., and Linda Lewis of Double Springs, Ala.; one stepson, Bill Keith and wife, Margie, of Berlin, Ga.; and step-daughters, Mary Hill, Alice Barfield, and husband, Rodney, and Marie Gregory and husband, Travis, all of Moultrie, Ga.
