Gladys Jane Jacobs Johnson

Gladys Jane Pate Jacobs Johnson, 85, of Moultrie, died Monday, May 23, 2016, at Pruitt Health in Moultrie. Services will be Thursday, May 26, at 11 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Jordan officiating assisted by Mickey Jacobs. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Born on Jan. 12, 1931, the was the daughter of the late Homer Franklin Pate and Lorene Dudley Pate. She was a homemaker and member of Riverside Church. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Frank Jacobs, and James Johnson; son, Carroll Gene Jacobs; brothers, Morris Pate, Archie Pate, and Robert Pate; and sisters, Daisy Smith, AgnesWisham, Nell Camp, EmmerenWisham, Katherine Johnson, and Flossie Shiver. Survivors include her sons, Franklin Jacobs and wife Becky of Moultrie, and David Jacobs and wife Susan of Moultrie; daughter, CorlisWhite and husband E.W. of Moultrie; sister,Willie Maude "Billie" Tucker of Moultrie; grandchildren, Timothy Michael Jacobs, Heath White, Matthew Jacobs, and Sabrina Jacobs Shumans all of Moultrie; and great-grandchildren Makayla Jacobs, Drew Jacobs, Jack Jacobs, Gracie White, Mason White, Abbie Shumans, and Allie Shumans. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service. The Family will receive friends at 128Westbrook Drive in Moultrie from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. onWednesday, May 25. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
