Gregory Charles Denesuk

Gregory Charles Denesuk, 66, of Doerun, passed away at Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

Born on February 28, 1958, in Erie, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Roman Denesuk and Shirley Jean Richardson Denesuk. Greg had many talents, but none shone brighter than his love for building. Whether it was a house, a piece of furniture, or a project needing his expert touch, Greg found joy and fulfillment in constructing things that would last. His love for building extended beyond materials and structures; it reached into his family, friends, and community. He took great pride in his work and always strove to improve life for those around him. Greg was a devoted man of faith and an active and cherished member of the Moultrie Church of God. His church community was his second family, and he attended services with a deep love for God and his congregation. Greg's faith in God was unwavering, and he took solace in the comfort of his spiritual journey. He lived his life with kindness, integrity, and compassion, showing his love for the Lord in everything he did. When Greg wasn’t building or attending church, you could find him tending to his beloved chickens. He had a special affection for them, finding joy in their simple presence and care. They were just one of many small joys in his life that brought him peace. Greg also took great pride in his service to his country as a veteran of the United States Army. His military career shaped his discipline, character, and commitment to others. He carried the values of honor and duty with him throughout his life.

He is survived by his sisters, Leigh Griswold and husband John of Tumwater, Washington, and Suziel Fry of Carson City, Michigan; and special friends and caregivers Donna and Charles Ford of Doerun.

In accordance with Greg’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no formal services will be held. His family and friends will honor his memory privately, cherishing the lasting impact he had on their lives.

Arrangements entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
