Hazel Wood Snipes THOMASVILLE Hazel Wood Snipes, 99, of Thomasville, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Glen Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville. A Memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, at Baker Funeral Home with Father William McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Born Nov. 4, 1913, in Thomasville, she was the daughter of the late John Jim Wood and Sallie Frazier Wood. She was a retired sales clerk of Baell Mercantile and she was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gus Corbett; her second husband Dallas Eugene Snipes; brothers; and sisters. Survivors include son, Lamar Corbett and wife Dessie of Pavo; grandchildren, Angel Cooper of Pavo and Steve R. Corbett of Tallahassee, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Mallory and Max Corbett of Tallahassee, Fla. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
