Henry Blevins Jernigan, 82, of Lenox, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Magnolia Manor. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Interment will follow at Leila United Methodist Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jeremy Dickens, Joe Jernigan, Denver Braswell, Stephen Duke, Benjy Scarbor, Eric Moore, and Matt Mobley. Born on July 15, 1935 in Omega, Georgia, he was the son of the late Joseph Eugene Jernigan and Fannie Mae Morgan Jernigan. He was the owner of Jernigan's Restaurant. He was also a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Omega. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clinton Jernigan, and Clyde Jernigan; and sister, Susie Jernigan. Survivors include his wife, Ray Jean Baker Jernigan of Lenox; son, Ken Jernigan and wife Glenda of Lenox; daughter, Charlotte Burgamy and husband Charles of Tifton; grandchildren, Shan Scarbor and husband Benjy, Jeremy Dickens and wife Autumn, Jessica Braswell and husband Denver, Kristin Moore and husband Eric, Genna Mobley and husband Matt, Jacie Duke and husband Stephen, and Joe Jernigan; and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home from 6pm-8pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
