Henry Albert Lewis, 88, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, May 26, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Lewis, Rev. Terry Webb and John Stephenson officiating. Interment with Military honors will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Bo Jenkins, John Stephenson, Wyatt Crapps, Buddy Lewis, Chris Wynn, Tony Bivins, Tony Bivins Jr., Johnny Lewis, and Tracy Cosper.  Born on October 7, 1928 in Sylvester, Georgia, he was the son of the late William Henry Lewis Sr. and Katherine Katie Eady Lewis. He was a retired truck driver, a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara Gail Lewis Wynn; grandson, Casey Lewis; brothers, John Henry Lewis, Henry Talmadge Lewis, William Edward Lewis, and William Henry Lewis Jr.; and sister, Pearline Lewis McCellan and Lillie Vie Lewis Cosper. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Mary Christine Lamb Lewis of Moultrie; son, Danny Lee Lewis, and wife Virginia of Moultrie; daughters, Vickie Carol Lewis Jenkins and husband Tommy of Moultrie, and Lorie Katherine Lewis Stephenson and Steve E. Sanders of Live Oak, Fl; son in law, James Wynn of Pensacola, FL;10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, from 3pm-4pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. A special thanks to nieces, Connie Richter, Shirley Gordon, and all the Colquitt Regional Hospice nurses and aides for all their love and support.
