Irving C. Strawder (VETERAN) MOULTRIE Irving C. Strawder, 92, of Moultrie, died Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Carnes officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery with Greg Allyn, Kip Carruthers, Paul Jones and Philip Noto serving as pallbearers. Born Feb. 3, 1923, in Norman Park, he was the son of the late William Richard Strawder and Amanda Williams Strawder. He was retired from Ashe Alum. Company and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Thomasville. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Leroy Sr., Ralph, Grady Sr., Horace, Odell and Earl Strawder; and sisters, Loette Holloman and Opal Frank. Survivors include his daughters, Nancy Bruce of Moultrie, Sally Jones and husband Paul of Columbus, Ga., and Donna Noto and husband Philip of Largo, Fla.; grandchildren, Susan Bruce, Mary Hecht, Nicole Gaston and Angela Williams; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be today, Feb. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
