Jack Sutton

Jack Sutton, 97, of Norman Park, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at Pruitt Health. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman with Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Rev. Jackie Cabaniss officiating. Born June 6, 1919 in Brooks Co., GA, he was the son of the late John Daniel Sutton and Leila Webb Sutton. He was a retired heavy equipment operator. He was also a veteran and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Norman Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Mary Evelyn McDaniel Sutton; his son, Chelsie Ray Sutton; grandson, Josh Pritchett; brothers Hubert Daniel Sutton and J.C. Sutton; sisters, Willie Lee Nabors, Grace Hiers and Doris Elizabeth Robinson. Survivors include his grandchildren, Angel and Craig Baker, and Dakota Baker; Extended family Sonny and Diann Baker and Sandy Baker of Crosland; nieces and nephews, Carolyn Holly of Winder, GA, Johnny Sutton of Pavo, GA, and many other nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
