Jackie "Jack" Rogers Cleckler, 69, of Doerun, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at his residence.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2020 at Westview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Woods and Rev. Matt Peek officiating.
Born on August 2, 1950, in Dalton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Walter Cleckler and Clara Harold Cleckler. Mr. Cleckler retired after many dedicated years of service from Southern Co. (Georgia Power), was a veteran of the United States Army, and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Cleckler; and brother in law, Wally Bridges.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gerri Bridges Cleckler of Doerun; daughter, Charissa Cleckler Pritchett and husband Malcom of Cartersville, Georgia; grandchildren, Bailey, Della, and Sonny Cate; sisters, Phyllis Cleckler of Dalton, Sandra Mayles of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Diane Findley and husband Jerry of Royston, Georgia; brother in law, Cliff Bridges and wife Beth of Doerun; special friends, Craig Stephens and wife Teresa of Milledgeville and Duane Loftus of Cartersville; and several aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
