Jackie Holland Payne

Jackie Holland Payne, 79, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Lifespring Community Church with Reverend Julian Griner officiating.

Born on February 1, 1946, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Vivian McPhail Payne Godfrey and D. H. Payne.

Mr. Payne was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a self-employed mechanic. Mr. Payne loved visiting the mountains, especially in the Fall when the leaves were vibrant colors.

He is preceded in death by his godparents, Lorene Day and Clyde Day.

Survivors include his son, Jackie Samuel Payne; daughters, Melissa Holt and Chasity Kelly; granddaughter Elliana Michelle Payne; brothers, Jimmy Payne, Harlon Payne, and Charles Godfrey; and sisters, Joan Payne and Judy Powell.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
