Jackie F. Johnson Roberts

Jackie F. Johnson Roberts, 79, of Moultrie, died at her home on Friday, November 15, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Rich Wright and Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Scott Brown, Russell Brown, Tim Todd, Justin Johnson, Randall Hudson, and Trey Roberts will all serve as pallbearers

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Born on May 16, 1945, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Hilmer Cecil Johnson and Katherine Virginia Pate Johnson. Jackie retired after a fulfilling career as a dispatcher at GTE, where her calm demeanor and organizational skills made her an invaluable team member.

Outside of work, Jackie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She deeply loved her garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her flowers and nurturing vibrant blooms that brought beauty to her surroundings. Her affection for animals was evident in the care she gave her beloved fur babies, Shay and Molly, who were constant sources of companionship and joy. She delighted in collecting charming chicken knickknacks that reflected her personality. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ottis Roberts of Moultrie; son, Michael Roberts of Knoxville, TN; daughters, Ginger Varnadoe of Moultrie and Katrina Brown and husband Scott of Norman Park; grandchildren, Russell Brown, Alyssa Brown, Katelyn Stalvey, Allison Stalvey, and Lainey Stalvey; godchildren, Samantha, Samarian, and Kingston; brother, Don Johnson and wife Jackie of Moultrie; and sisters, Robbie Harrod and husband Clarence of Leesburg and Joyce Ruth and husband Richard of O’Fallen, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
