Jacquelyn Fallin Clayton, 92, of Quitman, left this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 to spend eternity with her Heavenly Father.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Fallin officiating. Interment will follow at Enon Church Cemetery. Jeff Clayton, Kent Clayton, Mike Clayton, and Al Clayton will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on April 25, 1928 in Coolidge, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Sterling Fallin and Mildred Lasseter. Her Legacy forever to be her Love of God, Family, Country, Cooking, and her “5” Beautiful Boys. She believed deeply in Family, Respect, and Discipline and Excelled at Handling a Hectic Schedule, hauling her children all over Moultrie to this and that, as well as Maintaining an Organized Household. She spent most of her time as a Cook/ Homemaker and throughout her life thousands shared a meal at her table. Her Biscuits, Cakes, and Cornbread were Legendary. All were welcome. She loved her Backyard Garden and every meal included a
Bounty of fresh vegetables cooked to Perfection. She also loved pine cones, pound cake, coffee, gospel music, and God! She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan A. Clayton; brother, Nevin Fallin; and sisters, Jeane Cross, and Doll Craft.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by her sons, Al and wife Patricia P. of Moultrie, Jeff and wife Pam of Amarillo, TX, Kent and wife Cathy of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Mike and wife Joy of Monroe, GA, and John of Atlanta; grandchildren, Josh Clayton, Cole Clayton and wife Carisa, Hannah Clayton Shirah and husband Sean, Zach Clayton and wife Abby, Jacob Clayton, Cali Clayton Cole and husband Zach, Cash Clayton, and Crista Clayton; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Sterling Fallin, Andra Fallin, Nick Fallin, Danny Fallin, and Tim Fallin; and sisters, Kay Skandamis and Sandra Newell; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
