James Alex Michael Hasty

James Alex Michael Hasty, 45, of Pavo, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 8, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Murray Barfield officiating, assisted by the Rev. Mark Fulford. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Vada, Ga., with Tommy Johnson, Vann Johnson, George Collier, Richard Fleno, Lou Phillips and Jimmy Patterson serving as pallbearers. Born April 5, 1966, in Clearwater, Fla., he was the son of Judy May Miller Bufford and husband Benny of Pavo; step-father, Wilton Dunn of Adel; and the late Wilburn Hasty. He was a self-employed mechanic. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lula Croker. Survivors include his girlfriend, Donna Kendred; brothers, Mickey Hasty and wife Vicki of Moultrie and James Croker and wife Rita of Moultrie; sisters, Tammy Hancock of Moultrie, Daphne Suggs and husband Clayton of Leesburg, Ga., Melissa Partain and husband Gene of Moultrie and Michelle Folsom and husband Raymond of Moultrie; grandparents, Buddy Miller and wife Louise of Cairo, Ga.; 13 nieces; five nephews; five great-nieces; and six great-nephews. Visitation will be today, Oct. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
