James Baggett MOULTRIE James Baggett, 90, of Moultrie, died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Agape Health and Rehab of Moultrie. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 5, at Weeks Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Wilkes Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Weeks Chapel Church Cemetery with Mike Hampton, Logan Hampton, Jimmy Holloway, Jimmie Crosby, Tim Bozeman and Charles Sealy serving as pallbearers. Born Feb. 2, 1924, in Cadwell, Ga., he was the son of the late Fred Baggett and Maggie Brown Baggett. He retired from General Telephone after 31 years and attended Christian Crusade Church. He was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; and a grandchild, Jonathan Shirlock. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Geneva Weeks Baggett of Moultrie; sons, Ralph Baggett and special friend Tamatha Daughtry of Moultrie and Junior Baggett and wife Lautrelle of Moultrie; a daughter, Cynthia Baggett of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jason Baggett and wife Amanda, Jessie Barber and husband Josh, Jeffrey Baggett and wife Cassie and Jennifer Baggett; a special friend, Ed Tillman; and many nieces and nephews.
