James "Buddy" Alton Gay

James "Buddy" Alton Gay, 71, of Moultrie, died on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Wilkes, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Casketbearers will be Eddie Gay, Brian Gay, Ronald Jordan, James Jordan, John Willeby, Jr., James Meeks, Carl Ramer, and Bob Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Barnes, Ethan Gay, and Bryce Barnes.
Born on February 1, 1947, in Mulberry, Florida, he was the son of the late R.B. Gay and Eula Farr Gay. He was a Tire Technician with Moultrie Tire Co. where he retired after 34 years. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving man, devoted to his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Gay and Otis Gay; and sister, Joyce Musslewhite.
He is survived by wife, Vickie Renee Jordan Gay of Moultrie; son, Bobby Wayne Gay and wife Jessica of Moultrie; daughter, Kimberly Gay Young and husband Aaron of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jack Barnes, Bailey Walls, Ethan Gay, Bryce Barnes, Mason Gay, and Nathan Young; brother, Frankie Gay and wife Pat of Moultrie; sister, Vicky Williams and husband Edgar of Palm Coast, FL, Laverne Wilson of Chatsworth; Betty Baggett and husband Ronnie of Palm Coast, FL.; nephews, Eddie Gay, Ronald Jordan, James Jordan, Brian Gay, Carl Ramer, Trey Ramer, Paxton Jordan, Jacob Bodiford, Dylan Gay and Matthew Gay; and nieces, Amber Ramer, Valarie Farmer, Karly Ramer, Natalie Farmer, and Trinity Gay.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.
