James Douglas Dorminey., 78, of Norman Park, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Bro. A.J. Hall officiating, Shaun Fields, Harold Castleberry, Jr., Ben Norman, Jake Pollock, Thomas Doyon and Cole Bryant will serve as pallbearers.
Born on April 29, 1942 in Adel, Georgia. He was the son of the late Elbert Hollis Dorminey and Hattie Tillman Dorminey. He was a farmer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Felton Dorminey, William “Pee Wee” Dorminey and Melvis Dorminey; sister, Flossie Dorminey; and son in law, Ronnie Livingston; sister in law, Margie Dorminey.
Mr. Dorminey is survived by his daughters, Teresa Livingston of Moultrie, Tina Fields and husband William of Moultrie, and Sandra Flowers and fiancé Vernon Swords of Moultrie; brothers, Raymond Dorminey and wife Kaye of Adel; sisters, Mary Lou Castleberry and husband Harold of Macclenny, Florida, Holly Dean Shaw of Sylvester, Bessie Hall and husband A.J. of Camilla, Carolyn Norman and husband Benny of Norman Park, and Linda Folsom and husband Tommy of Adel; sister in law, Joan Dorminey of Moultrie; grandchildren, Kayla Mitchell and husband Justin, Dakoda Flowers, Tyler Livingston, Hope Bryant and husband Cole, Tabathia Pollock and husband Jake, Dannie Royals, Thomas Doyon, Eleni Doyon and fiancé Nick, Brandon Fields, and Shaun Fields and wife Jessica; several great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00-4:00 at Baker Funeral Home.
