James Curtis Jones

James Curtis Jones, 73, of Norman Park, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James "Shot" Sellers officiating. Entombment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens with full military honors and Kenneth Norman, Ted Norman, David Norman, Tim Norman, Clayton Crawford and Casey Crawford will be serving as pallbearers. Born Sept. 22, 1938, in Tift County, he was the son of the late Harvey Columbus and Faye Louise Golden Jones. He was retired from the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Eva Hash Jones. Survivors include a son, Stephen Jones and wife Loretta of Norman Park; a daughter, Lorrie Jones Zimmerman and husband David of Moultrie; sisters, Ethel Norman of Norman Park and Mary Francis Dean of Norman Park; and grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Kayla Jones, Brittany Jones and Sophie Zimmerman.
