James Reynolds Mashburn Sr. (VETERAN) DOERUN James Reynolds Mashburn Sr., 83, of Doerun, died Monday, April 15, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 17, at Rose of Sharon Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Jenkins and the Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Born Aug. 13, 1929, in Sigsbee, Ga., he was the son of the late David Earnest Mashburn and Genevieve F. Mashburn. He was a steamfitter/pipefitter member of the #368 Union in Albany, Ga., and he was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a member of Rose of Sharon Baptist Church and a member of the #151 Masonic Lodge in Doerun. He was preceded in death by sisters, Jackie Yeo, Frances Brown and Gloria McCarty. Survivors include sons, James R. Mashburn II and wife Donna of Doerun and Keith Mashburn and wife Suzanne of Doerun; a daughter, Chris Knight and husband Kenneth of Sylvester, Ga.; sister, Beverly Smith and husband Ray of Panama City, Fla.; grandchildren, Hope Mashburn Littleton and husband Clint of Moultrie, James R. Mashburn III and wife Leslie of Savannah, Ga., Joshua K. Mashburn of Doerun, Matthew L. Mashburn of Walstonburg, N.C., Jonathan D. Mashburn and wife Brandi of Albany, Ga., Barry Knight and wife Krista of Sylvester, Ga., and Karrie Reno and husband Tommy of Kansas, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Lucas D. Mashburn, Aubree L. Mashburn, Ansley Jackson, Cole Littleton, Ashlyn Herbst, Kansas Knight, Will Knight and Chase Reno; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Kim Holt and Sherry Dillow, both of Doerun.
