James Carroll Robinson, 78, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Hiers officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Michael Robinson, Nathan Cato, Jason Kilgore, Danny Batten, Robbie Sherrod, Randy Collier and Janet Batten. Born January 14, 1939 in Moultrie, GA, he was the son of the late J.D. Robinson and Fostine McAlpin Robinson. He was a heavy equipment operator with Bryant Brothers Construction and was of the Holiness faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elise Beckwith Robinson; sons, James Dale Robinson and Carroll Robinson; grandchildren, Donnie Singletary and Brandon James Hamby; brothers, J.D. Robinson Jr. and Jessie Wise; and sister, Marlyn Durden. Survivors include his son, Ferrell Robinson and wife Denise of Greenville, FL; daughters, Carolyn Clark of Phoenix City, AL, Bonnie Hamby and husband Richard of Augusta, Latrelle Robinson of Thomasville, Faye Lofasso and husband Joe of Moultrie, Ann Collier of Pavo, and Sharon Robinson of Greenville, FL; grandchildren, Tina and Darrell Hancock, Joey and Brittney Clark, Serena and Tony Cato, Chris Hamby, Amy and Rob Reyes, Jason and Amy Kilgore, Randy Collier, Michael Robinson, Blake and Rachel Cato, Danita and Keith Harper, Janet Batten & Matt Thigpen, Danny and Erika Batten, Trena and Steve Weeks, Prissy Cole, Robbie Sherrod and Ashley Howard, Donnie and Amy Robinson, Heather and Michael Robertson and Nathan and Kayla Cato; 44 great grandchildren; 27 great-great grandchildren; brother Ronnie Ansley, and Bobby Ansley and wife Wanda, all of Moultrie; sisters Margaret Ansley, Linda Brumbalow, Christine Amador and husband Nick, Joyce Tucker and husband George, Charlene Hampton and husband Mike, all of Moultrie; and his extended family, Barbara and Dwayne Hicks of Stockbridge, and Charity Teston and Tamela Teston. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
