James William Webb NORMAN PARK James William Webb, 88, of Norman Park died Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9, at Crosland Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles and James Edwards officiating. Interment will be in Crosland Church Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Bobby Flerlage, Chay Tillman, Dennis Evans, Alex Evans, Gene Hilton and John Hilton. Honorary casketbearers will be Wallace Hurst, Don Nicholson, Cody Booth, Brian Glass and Jeff Farmer. Born Sept. 12, 1924, in Sparks, Ga., Mr. Webb was the son of the late John Lacy Webb and Vera Pearl Hall Webb. He was a retired truck driver for Winn-Dixie who retired in 1982 and continued trucking until 2005. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Crosland Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Betty Maxwell Webb of Norman Park; two sons, Kenny Webb and wife Linda of Norman Park and Thomas Webb and wife Shelly of Lakeland, Fla.; a sister, Doris Brown of Norman Park; grandchildren Gene Hilton and wife Tammy of Perry, Fla., James Hilton of Tifton, Shawn Hilton, and John Hilton and wife Violet, all of Perry, Fla., Dennis Evans and wife Sherri of Thomasville, Tena Raulerson of Tifton, Sara Lynn Redding and husband Joe of Crawfordville, Fla., Kenny Webb of Norman Park, Kim Johnson and husband Steven of Norman Park, Wendy Pickett and Thomas Webb, both of Lakeland, Fla.; 28 great-grandchildren and 10 gret-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Sue Webb and a brother, Junior Webb. Visitation will be from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
