James Van Whittington NORMAN PARK James Van Whittington, 50, of Norman Park, died Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 7, at Baker/Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles and Mr. David Soto officiating. Born March 29, 1964, in Tifton, Ga., he was the son of James Edward Whittington and Mary Patricia Tripp Whittington of Norman Park. He was an ITT Tech with Bell Plantation of Tifton and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his brothers, David Warren Whittington and wife Page of Pullenvale Qld., Australia; and Andrew Edward Whittington and wife Beth of Tallahassee, Fla.; a sister, Susan Whittington Rankin and husband Thomas L. of Tifton; nieces, Samantha Susan Whittington, Amanda Pearl Whittington, and Ashley Marie Whittington Armstrong and husband James; nephew, Andrew Clark Whittington; and great-nieces, Jayda Lynn Whittington and Madalyn Armstrong.
