James Carroll Young MOULTRIE James Carroll Young, 60, of Moultrie, died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Apperson officiating. Burial will follow in Staunton Cemetery in Lenox, Ga., with Chuck Chesnutt, Jacob Flinchum, Braden Flinchum, Caleb Davis, Stacey Curls and Marco Devine serving as pallbearers. Born May 21, 1952, in Moultrie, he was the son of Emma Jewell Clements Young and the late J.C. Young. He was a heavy equipment operator and he was of the Holiness faith. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Patricia Ann Young; a sister, Carol McDaniel; and a grandchild, Lee Pitts. Survivors include his wife, Teresa Rowan Young of Moultrie; his sons, Jason Young and fiancée Elaine Pitts of Moultrie and Justin Griffin Jr. and wife Wendy of Pavo; daughters, Teresa Pruitt and Chuck Chesnutt of Moultrie and Laura Guy and husband Randy of Pavo; a brother-in-law, Gene McDaniel of Vero Beach, Fla.; sisters, Ola Mae Wynn and husband John of Vero Beach, Fla., and Peggy Bishop and husband David of Vero Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Terron Lasseter of Moultrie, Blake Lasseter of Moultrie, Jesse Young of Americus, Ga., Zoey and Hannah Griffin of Pavo, Jenna and Laney Guy of Pavo, Christine Vining and husband Tyler of Atlanta, Ga., Patrick Pitts, Steven Pitts and Kevin Pitts of Moultrie; three great-grandchildren, Zayne Plymel of Moultrie and Kynder and Leah Vining of Atlanta, Ga.; and special friends, Doris and Gerald Ethridge. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 18, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Baker Funeral Home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
