Jane Trice Tart

Jane Trice Tarte, 89, of Montrose, Colorado, formerly of Winter Haven, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at San Juan Living Center. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Doerun City Cemetery with Rev. Jill Willingham officiating. Born February 2, 1928 in Doerun, GA she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Trice, Sr. and Cora Brown Trice. She attended the University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for many years as a real estate agent. She enjoyed playing bridge and achieved the American Contract Bridge League rank of Life Master.   She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Trice Ecklund; grandson, Zachariah Ecklund; and her brother, Joseph F. Trice, Jr. Survivors include her sons, Charles R. Taylor, Jr.  and wife Fen of Albany, GA, Carl G. Ecklund of Naturita, CO; and her daughter, Janet Taylor Fulwood of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, Pamela Fulwood Barker and husband Greg of Lithia FL, Patricia Fulwood Holtzclaw and husband West of Tifton, GA, Paul D. Fulwood IV, and wife Allison of Tifton, GA.., Charles R. Taylor III of Albany, GA., Bradley Ecklund of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Matthew Ecklund and wife Jessica of Provo, Utah, Michelle Ecklund Kane and husband Jon of Orlando, FL; and thirteen great grandchildren, Thomas Barker, Elizabeth Barker, C.W. Holtzclaw, Dearing Holtzclaw, Paul Fulwood V,  Margaret Grace Fulwood, Scarlet Fulwood, Alison Kane, Abby Jean Ecklund, Jacob Ecklund, Brittany Ecklund, Zachary Ecklund, and Allison Ecklund. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
