Janet Martin Welch

Janet Martin Welch, 61, of Moultrie, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Mr. Clint Murphy and Mrs. Jennifer Murphy officiating. In accordance with her wishes, Janet will be cremated. 

The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.

Born on September 15, 1962, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Callahan and Mildred Martin Callahan. Janet devoted her life to caring for others, especially her students at Green Oaks. Her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication made a lasting impact on all those whose lives she touched. Janet's love for her family knew no bounds, and she found joy in preparing delicious meals and creating culinary delights in the kitchen.

Mrs. Welch is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Dean Welch; daughters, Cari Welch and husband Darius Clarington and Kristy Gay and husband Michael; granddaughter, Jaylin McCammon; and brothers, Chuck Callahan and Chester Callahan.

The family asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made directly to the funeral home.
