Janice Jeanette Bailey Glass OMEGA Janice Jeanette Bailey Glass, 79, of Omega, died Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at her residence. A private family service will be held with the Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiating. Born Feb. 7, 1934, in Wisner, La., she was the daughter of the late Johnnie O. Bailey and Julia Louise Mason Bailey. She was a retired assistant finance director for the City of Tifton, Ga. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam Bailey, Dewitt Bailey, Jack Bailey and Bruce Bailey; her sisters, Ruby Bingham, Bessie Mae Smith and Evelyn Montgomery; and a grandchild, John Edward Krist Wood. Survivors include her husband, James Edward Glass of Omega; daughters, Judy Darlene Rogers and husband Thom of Callahan, Fla., and Janet Leigh Payne and husband Robert S. of Tifton, Ga.; sisters, Ina Lou Kenny of Missouri and Regina Hammons of Louisiana; grandchildren, Michelle Leigh Sumner of Tifton, Jodi Erin Piper of Callahan, Fla., and Jamy Lauren Champney of Callahan, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Tayler Dudley of Middleburg, Fla., Maddison Darlene Champney of Callahan, Fla., and Johnathan Thomas Piper of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a special caregiver, Vickie Moye of Moultrie.
