Jean Hamilton, 80, of Moultrie, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 13, 2021 in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Christian Truelove, Jacob Truelove, Shane Crawford, Saber Simmons Bennett, Keon Caldwell, Sr., and Joshua Wood will all serve as pallbearers.
Born on February 26, 1941, in Cook Co., Georgia, she was the daughter of Ola Mae James Hamilton and the late William Wesley Hamilton. Ms. Hamilton retired from Walmart and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Sandra Hamilton Clark, Bonnie Hamilton Selph and Donna Hamilton; and granddaughter-in-law, Amanda Fletcher Crawford.
Ms. Hamilton is survived by her loving daughters, Kimberly Jean Barden of Moultrie, and Cheryl Lynn Powell of Valdosta; mother, Ola Mae James Hamilton of Moultrie; grandchildren, Brandon and Joyce Crawford, Saber and Rashaud Simmons Bennett of Atlanta, Candance Taylor and Nathaniel, Heather and Keon Caldwell, Sr. and Joshua Wood, all of Moultrie, Jessica Norris, and Clint Fisher; great grandchildren, Christian and Desa Truelove, Jacob Truelove, Autumn Crawford, Breannah Caldwell, Shane Crawford, Jayanna Truelove, and Keon Caldwell, Jr.; brother, Larry Hamilton of Irwin Co.; and sisters, Barbara Mims of Leary, Linda May of Norman Park, Carolyn Delaney and husband Donnie of Fernandina, FL, Mary Hamm and husband Gary of Moultrie, Debbie Kent and husband Jerry of Moultrie, Becky Hamilton Craven and husband Carroll of Moultrie, and Christy Friar of Adel; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 2pm-3pm.
