Jeanette Wimberly Layfield age 88 of Moultrie, died Thursday October 5, 2017 at Magnolia Manor South. Graveside service was held at 11 am Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Kimball United Methodist Church Cemetery in Worth County with Rev. Don Goodroe officiating. Born May 29, 1929 in Colquitt County, she was the daughter of the late Jack Wimberly and Eula Sellars Wimberly. She was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Clayton Layfield, son; Clayton Ricky (Rick) Layfield, brothers; Hollis Wimberly and Wondle Wimberly. She is survived by her daughter-in-Law, LeRay Newberry Layfield of Moultrie; grandchildren, Michelle Layfield Banks and husband Jeff of Madison, GA, Marci Layfield Meadows and husband Chad of Moultrie, Jenna Strickland Ives of Moultrie, Glenn Strickland of Little Rock, AR; great grandchildren, Kimberly Banks, J. L. Banks, Brian Meadows, MaKaye Meadows, Deegan Ives, Kylee Ives; brothers, Randolph Wimberly of Griffin, W. H. Wimberly and wife Beth of Pavo, Ernie Wimberly of Doerun; sisters, Janice Hancock and husband Jerry of Albany and Joyce Massey of Doerun.
