Jeanette Purvis Moore

Jeanette Purvis Moore, 81, of Norman Park, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at her home.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Rev. Clinton Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Leila Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be O.F. Salter, Harris Salter, Harvey Moore, Tony Castanon, Chris Purvis, and Rodney Purvis. Thomas Lamb, Gary Stewart, and Don Thompson will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born on February 3, 1937, in Norman Park, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Purvis and Edna Carver Purvis Hitt. She was a homemaker and of the Free Will Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Delton Wayne Moore, Sr.; brothers, Manning Purvis, Daniel Purvis, Jesse Purvis, Jr., Robert Hitt, Jr.; sisters, Ethell Regan, and Shirley Davis; special friend, Jim Chandler.
She is survived by her sons, Delton Wayne Moore, Jr. of Alamo, Steve Lamar Moore of Glennville, GA, Carl Lavon Moore and fiancée Kimberly Sellers of Norman Park, and Jesse Randall Moore and wife Glenda of Norman Park; daughters, Tammy Lynn Jarvis and Clyde O'Kelley of Norman Park, Sharon LaJune Scott of Norman Park, Alisha Shatzer and husband Robert of South Carolina, Charlotte Cooper and husband James of Yatesville, GA, and Mary Lanelle Cox and Lamar Plymel of Moultrie; Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; brother,  Buddy Carol Purvis and wife Ginger of Lee Co., GA; sisters, Dorothy Thompson and husband Paul Booth of Norman Park, and Linda Sands of Doerun; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Gilbert Bowie of Norman Park; special caregiver, Robbie; and her beloved dog, Blue.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 6pm-8pm in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home.The family will be gathering at the home of Mary and Lamar Plymel 2278 GA Hwy 111 Moultrie, Georgia 31768.
