Jerry Bryant Morey Sr.

Jerry Bryant Morey Sr., 61, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday January 15, 2017 at Early Memorial Nursing Home in Blakely, Georgia. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Sale City with Rev. Jimmy Matthews officiating. Interment will follow in Cool Springs Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Michael Wood, Sam Hinds, Andrew Gonzalez, Matthew Gonzalez, Noel Gonzalez, and Buddy Wood. Honorary pallbearers are Noah Brumley, Nealie McCormick, Roscoe Jones, W.E. Bozeman, and Bobby Jackson. Born July 26, 1955 in Deland, Florida, he was the son of the late John Bryant Morey and Ruby Lee Hunt Morey. He was a Lieutenant with the Pelham Police Dept. and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Joshua Lee Morey. Survivors include his wife, Glynell Massey Morey of Moultrie; sons, Jerry Bryant Morey Jr., and wife Tracey of Baconton, Justin Benjamin Morey and wife Bridgett of Doerun; daughter, Tiffany Morey Wood, and husband Michael of Moultrie; grandchildren, Jason Morey, Kevin Morey, Paul Wood, Cotton Wood, Stormie Wood, Lakyn Wood, Kimberly Morey, Gage Emory, and Justin Benjamin Morey Jr. and Sisters, Patricia Ann Brumley of Farner, TN, and Barbara Jean Brumley and husband Hilton of Pelham. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 17, from 6pm-8pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel.
