Jesse McCardle

MOULTRIE Jesse McCardle Jr., 77, of Moultrie, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at UPAC. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. McCardle was born Oct. 17, 1935, in Brooks County, son of Jesse McCardle Sr. and Jewel Roberts McCardle. He was a member of New Elm Baptist Church and of the National Guard, and he finished his working career as a correctional officer at Colquitt County Correctional Institute. Survivors include his wife, Janet Baker McCardle of Moultrie; a son, Jesse "Richard" McCardle III of Moultrie; three daughters, Vicki Devane of Americus, Ga., Leisa Sanders of Colorado and Dianne Kennedy of Tallahassee, Fla.; a brother, Donald P McCardle Sr. of Douglas, Ga.; a sister, Faith McCardle Lockilear and husband Edward of Florida; grandchildren, Shira Devane MacLennan, Loren Devane, Kyle Devane, Cody Kennedy, Mickey Kennedy, Rachelle McClish and Clayton Sanders; great-grandchildren, Kylee Devane, Kaia MacLennan, Lilah MacLennan and Eva MacLennan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby McCardle. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
