John A. Carmichael Jr.

John A. Carmichael Jr., 70, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2017 at Langdale Hospice House of Valdosta. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Bowen officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Casketbearers will be Jeff Briggs, Randy Carmichael, Jimmy Griffin, Travis Griffin, Tim Peacock, and Cliff Surbaugh. Born December 17, 1946 in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of Frances Daniels Carmichael and the late John A. Carmichael Sr. He retired from Cooper Tire Co. and was of the Christian faith. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Carmichael. Survivors include his daughters, Katrina Carmichael of Moultrie, and Shana Carmichael of Macon; grandchildren, Conner Adderton, Isaac Adderton, Julee Ann Sinclair, and Kaylyn Sinclair; mother, Frances Daniels Carmichael of Moultrie; sister, Janice Carmichael Rodgers and husband Joe, Jr. of Tifton and nephew Joe Rodgers III and wife Tasha of Moultrie. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service, from 3pm-4pm at Baker Funeral Home Chapel.
