John Arch Boring, age 58, of Moultrie, died Saturday June 24, 2017 at his home.Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 27, 2017, at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with Rev. Julian Griner officiating. Pallbearers are Rosevelt Key Jr., Brad Wiggins, David Flowers, Pete Palms, David McClelland, Mike Copeland, Tom Klar, Troy West and Charles Horne.JB was born December 22, 1958, in Moultrie to the late William Minter Boring and Jean McGill Boring. He was a third generation glazier and owner of Boring's Glass Company, which was established by his grandfather in 1919. He was born with a fascination for anything with wheels and was the neighborhood bicycle repairman at the young age of 5. He was a proud member of "The Highland Park Headhunters." JB was an avid car collector and was well known throughout the hotrod community for his immense talent for fabrication of custom auto glass. He was a lover of all animals. Some of his happiest days were spent at the beach with Alane and Deuce.He is preceded in death by his parents, sister; Ann Boring Booth and his best friend "Deuce."He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Alane Whidby Boring of Moultrie; sons, Kyle Arch Boring and Britney Cosper of Moultrie, and Alec Wade Boring of Valdosta; brother-in-law, Scott Whidby and wife Saundra of Moultrie; sisters-in-law, Patricia Whidby and Kip Wiley of Iowa City, Iowa, Leigh Whidby Demott and husband Gus of Greenwood, S.C.; brother-in-law, Larry Booth of Ellenton, Ga.; brother, Bruce Boring and wife Beth of Marietta, Ga.Visitation will be 6-8 Monday evening, June 26, 2017, at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Humane Society of Moultrie and Colquitt County.Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
