John Henry Powell

John Henry Powell, 63, of Moultrie, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Atrium Health Navicent in Macon. 

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Reverend Julian Griner officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service.

Born February 22, 1961, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Gene Wayne Powell and Fonnie Frances Wright Powell. Mr. Powell installed drywall for around 45 years and was a well-liked person with a passion for chickens. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Iverson Eugene Powell; and sister, Cathy Larue Powell. 

Mr. Powell is survived by his sister, Shelia Denise Dowis of Meigs and Michelle Renee Powell of Moultrie; best friend, Jeff Conners of Moultrie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
