Johnny Clyde Brooks, 56, of Moultrie, died Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Pinecrest Memory Gardens with the Rev. Terrence Stonecypher officiating. Casketbearers will be Craig McMurphy, Harold McMurphy, Lee Reynolds, Shane Conger, Nolan Thompson and Don Truett. Born Nov. 6, 1955, in Quitman, he was the son of the late Elster Aven Brooks Sr. and Ruth Weldon Brooks. He was a construction worker. Survivors include his wife, Pam Rhodes of Moultrie; sons, Cody Brooks and Jacob Brooks, both of Moultrie; a daughter, Nicole Brooks of Moultrie; brothers, Aven Brooks Jr. and wife Beverly of Quitman, David Brooks of Moultrie and Emmett Stephen Brooks of Moultrie; sisters, Brenda Brooks Gammon of North Carolina and Lilli Ann Brooks of Abbeville, Ga.; and grandchildren, Hunter Brooks, Shy-ann Brooks, Kayne Brooks and A.J. Bishop, all of Moultrie.
