Judith Peckham Whiddon, 81 years old, died September 10, 2022. Judith was born in New Haven, Connecticut. She raised 4 sons in Tifton, Georgia. Judith studied nursing at ABAC in Tifton. She became a highly regarded registered nurse working in ICU at Tift General Hospital. She worked as a home health nurse, and later she was assistant director and nursing educator at Tift Health Care. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tifton active in choir.
She was happily married to Robert “Jack” Whiddon 28 years until Jack’s death in 2009.
She was a gifted quilter winning ribbons at the Georgia National Fair. She enjoyed her cats and entertaining company. She had many friends and ties in the community.
She was a cancer survivor 4 times. Preceded in death by her son, Jim Peckham. She is survived by her sister Pat Hilton of Muskogee, Oklahoma; by her sons Marc Peckham, Joseph Peckham, Anthony Peckham and wife Alisa; grandchildren Adrienne Miller, Arrienne Miller, James Dominey IV and 6 great-grandchildren
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to American Cancer Association or Humane Society.
