Julia Faye Smith Simpson ALAPAHA Julia Faye Smith Simpson, 67, of Alapaha died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Stone and the Rev. Rowan Sirmans officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Tucker, Charles Glenn Arrington, Jackie Ivey, Stanley Carver, James Bennett and Buddy McGill. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday May 2, at Baker Funeral Home. Mrs. Simpson was born October 1, 1946 in Bartow, Fla. to Clarence Smith of Tifton and the late Eloise Arrington Smith. She was a homemaker. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in by a son, Bobby Steve Simpson; daughter, Janet Virginia Simpson; grandchildren, Hunter Wolfe and Destinee Wolfe and sister, Jean Ivey. In addition to her father, Mrs. Simpson is survived by her husband, Robert Lee Simpson of Alapaha; daughters, Julia Geniva Blakely of Lakeland and Jenny Jolly of Valdosta; brother, Roger Smith and wife, Lynn of Tifton and brother-in-law, Jackie Ivey of Rebecca; grandchildren, Ashley Lopez and husband, Otto of Virginia and Heather Lopez and husband, Czar of California; two great-grandchildren, Olivia Catalina Lopez and Tomas Daniel Lopez.
